How we work

Every project starts with a proper look at what is already there. On older properties around Orpington, damp is a recurring issue, we have lost count of the walls we have opened up and treated, injecting a chemical damp proof course using resin anchors to arrest rising damp before we build anything on top.

Groundworks and structure

Foundations are not something to guess at. Before a single course of block goes down, we want the bearing capacity of the ground understood. That means correct excavation depth, compacted hardcore, and concrete mix spec suited to the load above, which varies more than people expect across the BR5 and BR6 postcodes.

Finishes and maintenance

Good plastering and clean rendering make a serious difference to how a build lands, however rough the substrate we inherit. Near Chislehurst, we have raked back and recoated some walls that previous trades had really left in a state. We get it right and we move on.
