Cast iron versus modern aluminium

A lot of older properties around Clondalkin still have cast iron guttering. We restore it where we can. However, when it is too far gone, we recommend seamless aluminium as the practical replacement. It does not rust. It runs longer spans without joints. One thing people do not always think about is fascia capping aluminium colour matching, getting the capping to sit right against the new gutter colour without looking like a patchwork job. We take care of that.

Straight talking on the work

We fix brackets. We re-align falls. We replace hoppers and outlets. We sort soakaway connections. Short jobs done properly.

Soffit and fascia work is something we get called to regularly (usually after a painter spots the rot that the gutters were hiding). We replace boards cleanly and leave the roofline looking right.

I will be honest, I am no good at the paperwork side of things, but put me on a ladder above a leaking ogee gutter and I know exactly what I am doing.
