Most building problems don’t fix themselves. A cracked foundation, a garage sitting empty and unused, a house that’s run out of space. That’s where we come in. We’re Wicklow Builders, based in Wicklow Town, and we handle the full range of building work, from groundworks right through to finishing.

What we do

We work across the whole build process. Here’s the kind of work we take on:

• Extensions and renovations, including structural alterations
• New builds from foundations up
• Groundworks, drainage, and concrete foundations
• Brickwork and blockwork
• Plastering and exterior rendering
• Loft conversions and garage conversions
• General building maintenance and repairs

We’ve done exterior rendering jobs across Wicklow Town and out towards Rathnew and Ashford. K rend is what we use most on exterior finishes. It handles the coastal weather well and it looks clean when it’s done right. It’s not glamorous work, but it keeps water out of walls, which is the whole point.

How we work

And we don’t sub out the core trades. Our own team handles the structural work, the blockwork, the groundworks. We know what we’re building on because we dug it ourselves. That matters more than most people realise until something goes wrong.

We’ve worked on properties near Wicklow Gaol, out along the coast road, and on sites closer to the town centre. Every job is different. But the process is the same. Measure it right, build it right, leave the site clean.

However straightforward a job looks on paper, there’s usually something underneath that changes the plan. Ground conditions, old drainage, previous work that wasn’t done properly. We deal with it as it comes.
