Dun Laoghaire Guttering
Dun Laoghaire Guttering
Dun Laoghaire and the coastal stretch around it takes a fair bit of weather off the Irish Sea. Gutters here work hard, and when they start to fail, you notice fast.
Real guttering work, done right.
We cover everything from a snapped bracket to a full strip-out and replacement. Here is what we do:
- New uPVC, aluminium seamless and cast iron gutter installation
- Full gutter replacement and realignment for proper fall
- Half-round, ogee and square-line profiles fitted
- Downpipe repair and replacement, including hopper heads
- Soffit and fascia replacement in uPVC
- Leaf guards and gutter mesh fitted
- Connection to existing soakaways and gullies
- Rainwater diverter and water butt installation
You might be surprised how often a bad external angle 135 degree mitre joint is the cause of persistent leaking at a corner, rather than the gutter run itself. We source quality aluminium sections through Alumasc, a fabricator well recognised in the Dublin market, so the materials are up to the job before we even get on the ladder.
Does guttering work need planning permission? No, in almost every case it does not. Replacing or repairing gutters, fascias and soffits is considered routine maintenance. If you are on a protected structure, however, it is worth a quick check with your local authority first.
We work right across Dun Laoghaire, Blackrock, Monkstown, Dalkey and into south County Dublin. Older Victorian and Edwardian properties are something we see a lot of around here, and cast iron restoration is a big part of what we do on those streets.
