Wet ground shifts. It always does. Up here in Cheshire, the clay holds moisture and foundations take a beating through winter. That is something we account for on every job, before a single block goes down.

We are based in Bridge Trafford and we work across the surrounding area, from Chester city centre out through Mickle Trafford and past the Chester Racecourse end of things. We know the ground. We know how it moves.

What we build

Residential extensions come in more varieties than most people realise. Here is what we actually do:

• Single-storey rear extensions
• Double-storey extensions
• Side-return extensions
• Wrap-around extensions
• Over-structure extensions built above garages or existing ground-floor builds
• Orangeries and garden room-style extensions
• Porch extensions, front and rear
• Loft conversions, dormer and hip-to-gable
• Garage conversions, including new garage builds from the ground up

That last one gets asked about more than people expect. A new garage done properly, with correct drainage and a sound slab, adds real usable space. We poured one last autumn in Tattenhall and the customer was using it before Christmas.

How we actually work

We do blockwork and brickwork ourselves. No farming out the structural stuff to whoever is available. Groundworks, foundations, plastering, rendering, structural alterations, the lot. It stays in-house.

Maintenance work is fine too. Small jobs do not get turned away. They get done properly. (Some of our best repeat customers started with a single cracked lintel.)

The vocabulary is simple. Sound materials, straight lines, work that does not move. That is it.
