Essex weather does not forgive a bad lay

We know that better than most. Out here in Wickford, the ground moves, the rain comes sideways, and a patio that was not bedded properly will show its problems within a season. We have been doing this long enough to get it right first time.

Materials we trust

We work with what lasts. Porcelain. Sandstone. We have seen Donegal quartzite take a battering over years and barely mark. That is the kind of hard wear we look for in a material before we recommend it to a customer. Liscannor flagstone is another we use where the job suits it.

How we work

We do not cut corners on sub-base depth. Drainage matters. Kerb lines matter. A patio that pools water after a shower is not a finished job, it is a problem waiting to happen. (I will admit, early in my career I once rushed a base layer and regretted it for years.) We learnt from that.

Fencing, walling, and lawn work

It is not just paving. We erect timber fencing, build garden walls, and lay both roll-on turf and artificial grass. Some customers want the full garden done in one go. We are set up for that. Neat finishes, tidy sites, no mess left behind in your neighbourhood.
