Tipperary Insulation

What we do

: Insulation, done properly.

We’ve been insulating homes across County Tipperary for years, working on everything from old stone cottages near Cashel to semi-detached houses on the edge of Thurles and rural farmhouses out past Clonmel. Every building is different, and we treat it that way.

The work we cover

Residential insulation in Ireland covers more ground than most people realise. Here’s what we install and deal with day to day:

  • External wall insulation (EWI)
  • Cavity wall insulation
  • Pumped bead cavity wall insulation
  • Internal wall insulation and dry lining
  • Attic and loft insulation
  • Open cell and closed cell spray foam insulation
  • Roof and rafter insulation
  • Underfloor and floor insulation
  • Garage and outbuilding insulation
  • Pipe lagging and hot water tank insulation
  • Draught proofing and air sealing

Pumped cavity wall insulation

This is one of the jobs I get called out for most. A lot of houses built between the 1940s and 1990s have an unfilled cavity, it’s sitting there losing heat every single day. We drill, pump, and seal, and most homeowners notice the difference before the next bill arrives.

Grants and BER improvement

We help customers work through SEAI grant applications. The paperwork puts people off, however the savings are real. EPS beads used in pumped cavity work achieve a thermal conductivity as low as 0.033 W/mK, which translates directly into a better BER rating and lower running costs.

Damp and condensation

Cold bridges and poor airtightness cause most of the damp problems we see. We assess what’s actually happening before we recommend anything. Proper air sealing alongside insulation stops condensation forming on the inside face of walls.
