Ingatestone Patios

Ingatestone Patios

Paving is the job.

We’ve been laying patios across Ingatestone, Essex and the surrounding area long enough to know that ground conditions here can catch you out. Estuarine silt sits under a lot of these gardens, and if your sub-base isn’t prepared properly for it, the whole surface moves inside a year.

What materials do we work with?

Quite a range, honestly. Every garden is different, so we work across:

  • Porcelain tiles, which need a rigid, fully-bonded bed to perform well
  • Indian sandstone and other natural stone flags
  • Concrete flagstones where budget matters
  • Block paving for driveways and paths

We also install garden walling, wooden fencing and both roll-on turf and artificial grass lawns.

How does the process actually work?

We start with the ground, not the surface. Is the drainage going to work once the paving is down? That question decides most of what comes next. We dig out properly, compact the sub-base, and only then think about which laying method suits the material you’ve chosen.

Routine maintenance is worth a mention here too (most people don’t think about it until something lifts). We’re happy to advise on re-sanding, re-pointing and sealing after installation, because a well-laid patio that’s looked after properly will outlast one that isn’t by a long stretch.

Where do we cover?

We’re based in Ingatestone, Essex, so we’re familiar with the soil conditions, the planning quirks and the kind of gardens you find across CM4 and the villages nearby. However, we do travel further across Essex depending on the job.

We keep the communication straightforward and the pricing honest. No surprises on the invoice.
