What We Do

Driveways, first. That is the core of what we do at Clatterbridge Driveways, and we take real pride in doing it properly, from the first site visit through to the finished surface.

We work across Bebington, Heswall, and the roads running out past Thornton Hough, covering a wide spread of residential and commercial properties across the Wirral peninsula.

Installation and Surfacing

We install and resurface in all the main materials. Here is what we work with most:

• Block paving, clay and concrete
• Resin bound gravel, SuDS compliant
• Tarmac and asphalt
• Pattern imprinted concrete
• Loose gravel and hoggin
• Natural stone and porcelain for patios and pathways

Every installation starts with the sub-base. A well-compacted MOT Type 1 sub-base, laid to the correct depth and fall, is what separates a drive that lasts from one that fails inside three winters.

Repairs, Drainage, and Kerbing

We also handle the jobs that do not get talked about as much. Pothole filling, crack repairs, sealing, and full resurfacing where a drive has worn past the point of patching. One of the things I come back to often is levelling a drive that pools water after rain, whether that is adjusting the fall on an existing surface or rebuilding the base to get the drainage right. Standing water rots a drive from beneath.

We install kerbs, edging, drainage channels, and soakaways to finished spec, not just dug in and hoped for.

Patios, Walling, and Garden Work

Beyond the driveway, we cover patios and garden pathways, however the scope does not stop at hard surfaces. We take on boundary walls, fencing, and lawn laying for customers who want a complete frontage or rear garden finished to one standard throughout.
