Dunham on the Hill Builders

Who are we?

: Dunham on the Hill, Cheshire. That’s where we’re based, and it’s where most of our work is rooted.

We’re a building contractor outfit covering the area around Dunham on the Hill and out towards Helsby, Frodsham, and the Delamere Forest stretch. We do the proper structural stuff, not cosmetic tidying.

What do we actually do?

Here’s the honest run-down of where we spend our time on site:

  • Extensions and full renovations
  • New builds from foundations up
  • Loft conversions and garage conversions
  • Brickwork, blockwork, and structural alterations
  • Groundworks, drainage, and foundations
  • Plastering, rendering, and general building maintenance

Chimney breast removals come up regularly for us inside houses, especially on older Cheshire stone properties where people want the floor space back. We know how to do it right, with proper RSJ support, no shortcuts.

How do we work?

We price honestly. Is there any point quoting low and then loading the bill later? We don’t think so, and neither do our customers.

We turn up when we say we will. We keep the site tidy. We talk straight about what’s involved before we lift a brick. If something unexpected shows up once we’re in, say a dodgy lintel or bad foundations hiding under render, we tell you immediately and agree a way forward.

We’ve been doing this long enough to know that good work sells itself. It’s grand when a customer rings back two years later to book the next job because the last one held up. That’s the bit we’re proud of.

Where do we cover?

We work across CW6, CH2, and the surrounding postcodes. Most of our jobs sit within about twenty minutes of Dunham on the Hill, though we do take on work a bit further out when it’s the right fit.
